Sacred Pause With Emma DeSouza
Sacred Pause is for when you’re in the process of growing and becoming 'your best Self' while also being tired of being your best Self.
It’s always about honest, in-the-middle-of-life conversations covering motherhood, mental health, relationships, identity shifts, and all the stuff that doesn’t really have a clean answer, but still takes up space in your day.
I’m Emma. I have two young kids, chronic migraines, and a life that can feel really full and beautiful while also feeling really heavy at the same time. Some days I have perspective, some days I don’t - and this is where I talk through both.
Some episodes feel like therapy.
Some feel like catching up.
Some are just me trying to process things out loud.
This isn’t about fixing your life or becoming your best Self all at once.
It’s just a place to slow down for a minute and be honest about what’s actually going on, and not feel like you’re the only one figuring it out as you go.
If there’s something you’ve been carrying and wish you could talk about with your village, you can find me on TikTok (@itsemma.desouza), Instagram (@itsemmadesouza) or Substack (emmadesouza). I ask for anonymous shares each week, and we’ll talk through them here—so you don’t feel like you’re the only one.

3 Things I Do When My Brain Won't Stop
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We’re diving straight in with an honest conversation about the thing that quietly exhausts all of us, but we can't seem to stop doing it: overthinking.
In this episode, Emma gets real about what chronic overthinking actually costs us, why the logic of “just be present” doesn’t always land in your body even when your brain gets it, and how she’s learned to build a toolbox instead of relying on willpower alone.
She shares her top 3 go-to strategies for signalling to your nervous system that it’s okay to just be, even in the chaos, even in the double shift, even in the store with decision fatigue slowly taking over.
If you’ve ever known something was true and still couldn’t feel it — this one’s for you.
